Who saith that in Iune last was by vows one Willm Chaloner came to the house of the said Tho: Holloway in Clare Market and this Informant did then and there see the said William Chaloner very busy in mending 3 Dyes for half Crownes and that upon Christmas Eve was 4 yeares this Informant by the direction of her said husband went to the Cross Keyes Inn in Grace Church street London in order to meet the said Willm chaloner and to receive of him 40 counterfeit Guineas and this Informant staid at the said Inn from morning till night eve the said Chaloner came to her and at night the said Chaloner and one Mrs Ioan Porter came togeather to this Informant to the said Cross Keyes Inn and this Informant did then and there receive of the said Chaloner 40 counterfeit Guineas and she enquiring of him why he came noe sooner with the said Guineas he replyed and said that he and the said Mrs Porter had been that day in making of them and that he came to this Informant as soon as they had finished them and this Informant gave to the said Chaloner after the rate of 9s per piece for the said false Guineas and that within these 4 yeares last post she this Informant hath severall times received of the said Wm Chaloner and Mrs. Porter severall false Guineas and counterfeit money and the said Chaloner + Porter did declare that they did make them themselves and this Informant saith that one Michael Gillingham and his wife have been privy to the said practises of the said Willm Chaloner + Mrs Porter and used to hyde Counterfeit Guineas and money for them under the butts of their Cellar as they told this Informant and she hath severall times received of the said Gillingham + his wife false Guineas and money which they said was left with them by the said Chaloner and Mrs Porter <33v> who is daughter to the said Mrs Gillingham + that about Iune was 12 month this Informant saw the said Willm Chaloner guild a Silver Guineas + Spanish guild false Guineas and pistolls And that in or about the month of October was 12 month the said Michl Gillingham came to the said Tho Holloway to the Bolt and Tan Inn in Fleet street and said, Chaloner (who was then a prisoner in Newgate) had sent him to tell him that he would give him 20li if he would not appear as a witnes against him the following sessions and holloway did agree with the said Gillingham to do so and Gillingham promissed to pay the said money and in 2 or 3 days after the said Gillingham did in persuance of the said promisse pay unto Tho Holloway 9li 11s in part of payment thereof and the said Holloway agreed with one James Lawes Master of a Scotch Vessel called the Mary of Leith and was to give him 3l 10s to – carry (by sea) Holloway's Children + Maid Servant into Scotland and Gillingham paid the said Lawes 3sli towards the said passage and the said Thomas Holloway and this Informant went by Land into Scotland + Gillingham and one Henry Sauders a Tallow Chandler went with them from one Mr. Brownes at the Armitage Staires near Wapping a farmeInne where they the said Tho: Holloway + this – Informant then lodged to the Queens head at Bow
