In obedience to your Lordships Order of Reference of the 6t of Octob. last we have considered the annexed Petition & humbly represent to your Lordships – – – fees or perquisites which when first sett might be a better maintenance then 60℔ per annum would be now.
We also beg leave – – – require some years – – – – account thereof without any consideration for that service.
We are therefore humbly of opinion that the aforesaid Clerks may deserve such augmentation of their salaries as your Lordships shall think fit first untill their Book & those of the Country-Mints shall be finished & afterwards perpetually if your Lordships please, their attendance at the Mint being incompatible with any other business.
