Letter from Newton to the Treasury commissioners concerning personal sureties and the new Indenture of the Mint

To the Rt Honble the Lords Comm.ers of his Majts Treasury.
May it please yor Lordps
Vpon the passing of a new Indenture, I being to give security in 2000£ besides my own bond, I humbly propose for my sureties Mr Hall the Comptroller of the salt Office in a Bond of one thousand pounds & Dr Fauquier my Deputy in a Bond of another thousand pounds. [& pray that it may be referred to the proper Officers in the Exchequer Office to enquire into the sufficiency of these sureties.]
