Com Lancaster Ss The Informaion of Henry Smithson upon Oath 19.thAug.t 1703
Who saith that ab.t 2 years and agoe he did see Michael Turner togeather with James Blades and Joseph Thompson (who are both since Executed for high Treason) counterfeit the curr.t coyn of this Kingdom and that (before this time) this Inform:t hath had Severall Warrants to Apprehend the Sd Michael Turner, and hath pursued him from One County to another, but as yet could never take him, but yt now this Informant is told, that the Sd Michael Turner togeather with John Airey als verey another notorious Coyner, (as this Depon.t hath been told by the Sd Blades Thomson and Turner) are togeather, at the house of one Lawrence Weaver at or near Threales Cross in this County & that he this Depon.t doth verily beleive that the said Michael Turner and John A{illeg}by Airey, doth still carry on the Sd wicked & ꝑnitious trade of Counterfeiting the currant Coyn of this Kingdom.
