The Examinacon of Humphrey Hanwell now in custody 23d December 1699

Saith that he used to cast Sword hilts Shoe Buckles spoones + Forkes without assistance of any body in the Cellar of his house in the Mint in the Burrough of Southwark where Mr Saker Mr Rewse and others apprehended him and that the counterfeit money now produced was not made by him nor doth he know how it came into his Cellar and saith that the 3 branches and Ingots now produced were for making of Buckles and that yesternight this Examt was at work in the said Cellar in making of Buckles and trying to make a Sword hilt
