Valuation of another three two-real pieces and new estimate of the total amount to be produced by the reminting as 4,189,000 two-real pieces
The three spanish pieces of Spanis two Ryals of st silver wch I receivedwch were sent to me by yor Lordps order to be examined are very unequally coined. One of them weighd 3dwt 6 grains & is 4dwt worse then our standard. Another weighsd 3dwt 13grains & is standard wanting only a qu{illeg} scant. A third weighs 3 dwt 10gr & is 4dwt worse. These three & that wch by your lordps order I caused to be assayed some monthsweeks agoe & wch was in weight assay 3dwt worse then standard, & weighed {illeg} 3dwt 6gr, are one wth another at a medium in weight 3dwt 9gr && in weight &Assay 3dwt worse than sta & in value 10d.+[1] And if a Mexico pice {sic} of eight be worth 4s 6d then 800000 pieces of eight will make [418909 about 4189000 two Ryall pieces of K. Charles.4]
5 Carolu's & of a Carolus equal a Mexico piece of 8. 47 Caroluses equal 9 pieces of 8 & 8000000 pieces of 8 should make 4180000 Carolusses.
If a piece of 8 be recconed at 54d, 800000 pieces of 8 will make 4189100 Carolusses. But per {illeg}100 abated brings it to 4175000
And [five of these two Ryall pieces are almost 5 per cent a Mexico piece of eight worth betterworse then a Mexico piece of eight]54-76 is almost 5 per cent better in value then 5 of these two Ryal pieces. And if 800000 {illeg} such Mexico pieces of 8 will make 4{illeg}189000 such two Ryal pieces
